What Indore is
Indore is an indoor cycling companion app. It connects to your smart trainer via Bluetooth, controls resistance, and records your ride data. It is not a medical device, and nothing in the app constitutes health or fitness advice.
What you can buy
Three things. A monthly plan for $15.00 a month, a season pass for $60.00 that covers six months, and a pack of ten ride credits for $20.00. All three are bought here on the website — the iPhone app doesn’t sell anything.
Every new account starts with three ride credits. No card, nothing to cancel.
A credit is one ride. Credits don’t expire — no reset, no clock. A credit is spent when a ride finishes, not when it starts, and only if the ride ran ten minutes or longer. Stop before ten minutes and it costs you nothing. On the season pass or the monthly plan you don’t spend credits at all.
Runs are free while running is in beta: a run costs no credit, however long it is. If that changes, we’ll say so before it does.
There are three kinds of credit and they don’t all do the same thing:
- The three you get on signup can be ridden, but not given away
- Credits earned by riding — one for every ten hours on the bike — can be given away, but not ridden
- Credits you buy, and credits someone gifts you, can be ridden or given away
Credits have no cash value. They can’t be exchanged for money, sold, or moved between people any way other than through the gift feature.
A ride taken with no connection can push your balance below zero. The next credit that arrives clears the debt before it does anything else.
Paying
Payments go through Paddle. Paddle is the merchant of record, which means the Paddle entity named on your receipt is the seller for that transaction — you’re buying from them, and they’re buying from us. Their buyer terms govern the payment itself, the monthly plan’s billing included: paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
Paddle works out the sales tax or VAT for the country you’re in, adds it or includes it at checkout, collects it, and issues the receipt.
Prices are in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank sets the rate and may charge you for the conversion. That part is between you and your bank.
We never see or store your card details.
The monthly plan
The plan renews automatically every month until you cancel it.
Cancel any time. There’s no notice period and nothing to ask us for. The plan runs to the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then stops and doesn’t renew.
Credits you already hold are frozen while you’re subscribed. Rides on the plan don’t spend them. When the plan ends, they’re still there.
If a payment fails, Paddle retries over a few days and emails you about it. If it keeps failing, the plan ends and the account goes back to riding on credits.
If we change the price, we’ll tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
The season pass
One payment of $60.00 for six months of riding, as much as you like. It doesn’t renew, and there’s nothing to cancel.
The six months start when you buy it. If a plan, a pass or free access is already running on the account, they start when that ends instead, so buying ahead adds on rather than overlapping.
Credits you already hold are frozen while the pass runs, the same as on the plan. When it ends, they’re still there.
A pass can’t be bought while a monthly plan is open, and the plan can’t be started while a pass runs.
Refunds
The first payment on the monthly plan, a season pass, or a ride pack, can be refunded within 14 days of purchase as long as you haven’t ridden on it. Renewals aren’t refunded. The longer version is on the Refunds page.
Refunds go through Paddle: use the link in your receipt email or paddle.net, or write to us through the Help page and we’ll sort it out with them.
Where the consumer law you live under gives you more than this, the law wins. Paddle can also issue a refund where law or a card scheme requires one, whatever our policy says.
Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. One account per person. You’re responsible for the activity on your account. If you think someone else has access to it, let us know at hi@indoreride.com.
We can suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, for not paying, for fraud or anything that puts the service or other riders at risk, or for breaking these terms again after we’ve asked you to stop. If we close an account for breaking these terms, any unused credits go with it.
Your data
You own your ride data. We store it to provide the service and won’t use it for purposes other than what’s described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account, and everything of yours with it, from the account page or in the app. Emailing us still works if you would rather.
What’s ours
Indore itself — the apps, the website, the name, the design and the code — belongs to Super8 DOO. Signing in gives you the right to use it for your own riding. It doesn’t give you any of the rest.
Your ride data stays yours, as above.
Third-party services
Indore integrates with Google (sign-in, and the AI behind ride summaries and structured rides), Apple (sign-in) and Strava (ride uploads and route imports). Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
We’re not responsible for outages or changes to third-party services. If Strava changes their upload format or Google changes their API, things might break temporarily.
Smart trainer use
Indore sends resistance targets to your smart trainer. You are responsible for using your equipment safely. Make sure your trainer is set up correctly, your bike is stable, and you’re riding within your ability.
The app is not a substitute for common sense. If something feels wrong — a power target that’s too high, equipment that’s making odd noises, or you’re not feeling well — stop riding.
Availability
Indore is provided as-is. We do our best to keep things running, but we don’t promise it will run without interruption or without errors, and we don’t guarantee uptime. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. Core ride functionality (trainer connection, recording) works via the iOS app and doesn’t require the web service to be up.
Acceptable use
Don’t:
- Use Indore for anything unlawful
- Use it to defraud anyone, or to send spam
- Put anything into it that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights
- Interfere with its security: no malware, no probing for holes, no getting round its limits
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or probe the service beyond normal use
- Attempt to access other users’ data
- Use automated tools to interact with the service at scale
- Resell or redistribute the service or its data
- Resell or trade ride credits outside the gift feature
- Reverse a payment with your bank before you’ve contacted us about it
If a payment is charged back, we may suspend the account until it’s settled.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Super8 DOO is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes but is not limited to equipment damage, data loss, or interruption of service. Our total liability is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you’ve paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
If we stop
If we stop running Indore, we’ll tell you by email before it happens. We’ll stop taking new payments and cancel any live subscriptions so nobody is charged again.
What happens to unused credits depends on the circumstances, and we’ll say at the time. We’re not promising to pay them back in cash.
Changes
We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we’ll make it clear on this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
